IN maintaining and strengthening moral commitment and fighting for the truth, we must imitate the morals of the Prophet .
As the Messenger of Allah is a perfect human being and in him is a good role model that we should follow. Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala says:
"Indeed, the Messenger of Allah has in you a good role model for you (ie) for those who hope for (the mercy of) Allah and (the coming of) the Day of Judgment and who remember Allah much." (Surat al-Ahzab [33]: 21)
From this verse it is clear to us that imitating the morals of the Prophet is contained in the Prophet , namely his example covers all aspects of life.
Rasulullah in all things always prioritizes high moral values, because this is where the social existence of humans as the most noble creatures among other creatures is maintained.
How smart a person is who is able to master science and technology, if it is immoral, then it is not a benefit.
How rich a person is if he is immoral, it will cause many social problems.
No matter how handsome or beautiful a person is, if they are immoral, they will only wallow in the freedom of immoral relationships that can damage society.
That is why the Prophet was sent by Allah to perfect noble character.
If we remember the early history of Islamic da'wah and struggle, then we get an idea of how heavy and big the challenges and tests faced by the Prophet and his companions were.
Among other things, we can know from the attitude of the Quraysh who were very anti to the Prophet after he was previously made a figure as the most honest person.
We hope that we can imagine how heavy the psychological burden felt by the Prophet. The people who previously had great respect and admiration for his attitude and behavior suddenly changed drastically.
They isolated, insulted, berated, and even tried to kill him. From there, it can be seen that the teachings of the truth are not automatically accepted by society.
Below are three examples of imitating the morals of the Prophet
1 Imitation of the Morals of the Prophet : The Wisdom He Showed, Even When Under Extreme Pressure or Terror
Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala praises him, as in His words:
وَاِ نَّكَ لَعَلٰى خُلُقٍ عَظِيْمٍ
"And verily you are truly, virtuous of a noble character." (Surat al-Qalam [68]: 4)
Low attention to morality will have a very serious and fatal impact on the social life of the community, acts of violence, corruption, rape, prostitution, gambling, drunkenness, shabu-shabu parties and other illegal drugs and other acts of injustice are examples of declining values. -moral values in people's lives.
Isn't that what we see in the reality of our lives, at least it is presented in the news both through print and electronic media.
Therefore, we as Muslims must be able to show that the teachings of Islam are very high moral teachings. As the Prophet described it in his saying:
"Indeed, Allah covers the religion of Islam with akhlaq al karimah (good character) and good behavior too."
