When is it read?
There is no information that decides, both from the place and time, in reading the prayer. Then the prayer above can be read at any time, when pondering, waiting for the call to prayer and iqamah, while reflecting, combing hair, while in a mosque, and other places. Whereas the history that decides it during reflection is weak. So that it should not be used as takhsis and taqyid for the prayer. While who wants to read it when he is in front of a mirror, it's okay.
Description of Prayer
In fact noble character is a trait possessed by the prophets, siddiqin, and salihin. With that noble character, they get a high degree, and an honorable position. And Allah has privileged His Prophet sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam with one verse that covers the noble character and the beautiful manners in him in His word:
وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلى خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ
"And verily you are truly virtuous." (Quran Al-Qalam: 4)
Good morals will produce love and affection. It can even cover shortcomings and errors. Conversely, bad morals will foster hatred, hostility and envy. And you can also bury your strengths and goodness.
Good morals will produce love and affection. It can even cover shortcomings and errors.
he Prophet sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam told him to be kind and always guard him. In fact, he placed it parallel to taqwa as the cause that most delivered to heaven. Narrated from Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu 'Anhu, he said: The Prophet was once asked about something that most included humans into heaven. "He sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam replied:" Fear of Allah and good morals. "(Hadith History. Al-Tirmidhi and al-Hakim; mentioned by Syaikh Al-Albani in al-Silsilah al-Shahihah, no. 977 with sanad hasan)
Good morals are like: showing a radiant face, giving kindness to people, saying good things, avoiding things that can hurt people, holding back anger, not doing things that harm others, and for example.
Our Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam has given Abu Hurairah a great will in his saying, "O Abu Hurairah! You should be a good deity." Then Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu 'Anhu asked, "What is Husnul Khuluk (good morals), O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "You connect the friendship of the person who decides from you, forgives those who wrong you, and gives people who do not want to give to you." (Hadith History. Al-Baihaqi)
Note the description of the Prophet's hadith about the magnitude of the noble virtue. He sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam said: "Indeed someone gets the degree of people fasting and praying night because of their noble character." (Hadith History. Ahmad)
It was narrated from Abu Darda 'Radhiyallahu' Anhu, from the Prophet sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam, he said:
مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَثْقَلُ فِي الْمِيزَانِ مِنْ حُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ
"There is nothing that can aggravate a believer's scales (goodness) on the day of qiyamat besides his moral goodness." (Hadith History. Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud)
Even the sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam promises that people of noble character get a place closer to him on the Day of Judgment in heaven.
"Actually the person I love the most and the closest position to me on the day of Qiyamat is the most moral." (Hadith, History of Ahmad, al-Tirmidhi, and Ibn HIbban. Revitalization of Syaikh Al-Albani in ShAhih al-Jami ', no. 15350)
The Prophet sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam included noble morals as part of the perfection of faith in his words:
 أَكْمَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِيمَانًا أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا
"The faithful person who is most perfect in his faith is the best in his morality." (Hadith History of Ahmad, Abu Dawud, and al-Tirmidhi)
Therefore carry out the will of the sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam,
"You fear Allah everywhere, and follow bad deeds with good deeds, undoubtedly these good deeds will abolish them, and associate with humans with good morals." (Hadith History of Ahmad and Al-Tirmidhi from Abu Dhar and Mu'ad bin Jabal Radhiyallahu 'Anhuma. Expected by Al-Imam Al-Albani rahimahullahu in Shahihul Jami ’number 97)
Then do what is said by the following sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam:
أحب الناس إلى اللّه أنفعهم، وأحب الأعمال إلى اللّه عز وجل، سرور تدخله على مسلم، أو تكشف عنه كربة، أو تقضي ديناً، أو تطرد عنه جوعاً، ولئن أمشي مع أخي المسلم في حاجة أحب إليَّ من أن أعتكف في المسجد شهراً
"The most beloved man of God is the most beneficial among them. Whereas the most beloved charity of Allah 'Azza wa Jalla is the pleasure you put in a Muslim, or you eliminate his difficulties, or pay off his debt, or eliminate his hunger. Really if I walk with my brother who is Muslim to fulfill his needs, I like him more than giving a birthday a month at the mosque (ie the Nabawi mosque). " (Hadith History. Thabrani; Hasan lighairi according to Syaikh al-Albani)
A Muslim is also told to say good and gentle so that he weighs the scales of his goodness. The Prophet sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam said:
وَالْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ صَدَقَةٌ
"Good words are sadaqah (reward)." (Muttafaq 'alaih) and even those who do not have to spend big energy are also rewarded. "And the smile on your face to your brother is also Sadaqah (rewarding)." (Hadith History. Al-Tirmidhi)
The direction of the Prophet sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam to be of good character and eliminate the danger very much. Even the history of the life of the Prophet sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam was full of examples in this matter for his people, both his morals towards himself, to his wives, neighbors, weak Muslims, to those who were still ignorant, even to infidels. Allah the Exalted says,
"And do not let your hatred of any people encourage you to act unjustly. Valid, because it is fairer closer to piety." (Quran letter. Al-Maidah: 8)
Indications of a person having good character and noble character can be seen in several of their characteristics, among others: a lot of shame, not doing something that hurts people, saying honestly, talking a little, doing a lot, not often wrong and deviating, not overdoing it, doing a lot good and connect friendship, reduce yourself, a lot of patience and gratitude, gentle, merciful, not being rude, not much reproach and berate, do not complain, not much gossip, not in a hurry, not jealous and envy, love because of Allah and meridhai because of Him, hates because of God and is hostile to Him, and for example.
And indeed whoever was given all this was given something very valuable. Therefore, one should try to possess it and implant it in his soul, and realize it in his limbs, he strengthens it by asking all that to God. Because in His hands are all good. Nothing happened on this earth except with his permission and will. And among the forms of prayer asking for noble morals is obtained in the prayer taught by the Prophet sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam above. Allah knows best.
