Halal Food, Because Receiving Charity

TIMESOFISLAM.ORG, TANJUNG ENIM - Allah SWT delivered in Al-Mukminun verse 15 about two very important cases: eating halal and righteous deeds. Two light cases were spoken, but the reality was heavy in their implementation.

When a person is increasingly mandated and the worldly burden he bears, so does the temptation, obstacles and obstacles that come with him in treading these two things. When temptations arrive, people who are complacent and neglect will break the limits of halal food and relax the limits of the piety of a charity.

Even though halal food and righteous deeds are two things that are mutually sustainable. Righteous deeds will be elevated with halal food, halal food will make righteous deeds acceptable to God.

Rasulullah SAW reported in a hadith narrated by Imam Muslim, that there was a traveler whose hair was tangled, his face was dusty, raised his hands to the sky while pleading, "Yes Rabbi, Yes Rabbi", but his prayer was not granted by Allah because his food was unclean, His drinks are unclean, his clothes are unclean, and he fulfills his needs with illicit wealth. Let us contemplate, if because of unlawful food prayer is not permitted by God, what about other practices.

Therefore, the salaf is very concerned about what will go into their mouths and what comes out of their mouths. They are very careful, very guarding of everything they eat and they say.

They deeply permeated the words of the Prophet Muhammad the following,

Ù…َÙ†ْ ÙŠَضْÙ…َÙ†ْ Ù„ِÙŠْ Ù…َا بَÙŠْÙ†َ Ù„َØ­ْÙŠَÙŠْÙ‡ِ ÙˆَÙ…َا بَÙŠْÙ†َ رِجْÙ„َÙŠْÙ‡ِ Ø£َضْÙ…َÙ†ْ Ù„َÙ‡ُ الجَÙ†َّØ©َ

"Whoever gives guarantees to me, what is between the two beasts - that is, his mouth - and both legs - that is his cock, then I guarantee heaven for him." (Bukhari HR)

It is said that one day a friend of Sa'ad bin Abi Waqqash radhiyallahuanhu said to Rasulullah SAW, "O Messenger of Allah, ask Allah to make Him the person whose prayers are always exalted."

Rasulullah SAW also said,

"O Sa'ad, fix your food, your prayers will be answered. Surely there is someone who puts a mouthful of unclean food into his mouth, Allah will not receive his prayer for forty days. " (Bukhari HR)

In other hadith the Prophet Muhammad also said,

"In fact there is someone who buys clothes at a price of ten dirhams. But of the ten dirhams there is one unclean dirham. So Allah does not accept his deeds as long as the clothes are still attached to him. " (HR Thabrani)

How sad, when someone who struggles in doing good but he neglected to audit the halal property that he used for his good. He had imagined the reward he would get, it turned out that all his goodness had no value before Allah SWT due to his negligence.

As confirmed by Rasulullah SAW,

Ù„َا ÙŠَÙ‚ْبَÙ„ُ اللهُ صَÙ„َاةً بِغَÙŠْرِ Ø·َÙ‡ُÙˆْرٍ ÙˆَÙ„َا صَدَÙ‚َØ©ً Ù…ِÙ†ْ غُÙ„ُÙˆْÙ„ٍ

"Allah will not accept prayer except with ablution and do not accept sadaqah from the treasures of ghulul." (Muslim HR)

Ghulul is a term for illegitimate property, whether taken in a treasonous manner or taken by means of deception and seizing the property of a believer.

One day Ibn Umar radhiyallahuanhuma visited Abdullah bin Amir who was sick. At that time, Abdullah bin Amir was the governor of Basrah, he was a famous governor with various improvements and infrastructure development, he built a lot of roads and dug up springs. People also praised and praised him for these kindnesses.

So with full confidence he asked Ibn Umar radhiyallahuanhuma, "What do you think, O Ibn Umar?" Ibn Umar knew that Abdullah bin Amir had misused his office to seize the wealth of the Muslims, so he replied, "Allah does not accept sadaqah from the treasures of ghulul, actually the bad cannot erase the bad."

Abdullah bin Amir also asked again, "What do you think about the obstacles that we have removed (infrastructure development), don't we get the reward from all that?" Ibn Umar persisted in his stance, "Truly the bad cannot erase the bad."

Then Abdullah bin Amir also told about the Sadaqah he issued and the slaves he had set free. But Ibn Umar replied, "Your example is like someone who steals a camel belonging to a person who is traveling on Hajj and then you go on jihad with him."

The next snapshot of caution came from an Imam Abu Hanifa, when he sent his colleague on a trade expedition. Before leaving he advised his colleague, "In fact, in this merchandise there is a clothing belonging to the fulan, the shirt has a defect, so if you want to sell it, first explain the defectbuyer. "

After his colleague returned, Abu Hanifah also asked about the clothes. His colleague replied, "I have sold it." Then he asked, "Did you sell it without explaining the flaw?" "Yes," answered his colleague. Then Imam Abu Hanifah shared the profits with his colleague, but he then left the price of the defective clothes earlier.

Such is the caution of the salaf in the issue of halal food that enters his mouth and the wealth that goes into his pocket. There are even some taboos who are more cautious than Imam Abu Hanifa, they do not want to use buildings, bridges, even mosques built by the authorities. They argued that the property of the authorities had been mixed with illicit wealth, contaminated by tax assets and confiscated assets.

There was also a woman who asked Imam Ahmad about spinning under lighting lamps built by the authorities, the woman felt uneasy because she could not confirm whether the fuel of the lamps had come entirely from halal property.

There is also an Imam Nawawi who has never tasted the fruits of the land of Sham. When asked why he did so, he answered, "Surely there are lost waqf gardens, and I am afraid of eating from the endowments."

There was also an Umar bin Abdul Aziz, despite serving as caliph, but when he saw the building of the Bashrah mosque began to fragile he said, "Fix the broken ones, don't exceed that. Because I did not find the right to build the mosque in the treasure of Allah. And there is no need for Muslims to fix something that can harm their Baitul Mal. "
