In living this life, we are often faced with difficulties. Sometimes the difficulty is so severe that it makes us almost desperate. However, the faith in the power of Allah Ta'ala is infinite, making us remain patient and have hope.
In fact the universe is under the power and control of Allah Ta'ala. All are obedient to the provisions and will. No one can move or behave except with His power, strength, will, and permission. What He wants will happen. On the contrary, what He does not want will never happen.
Allah Almighty does everything. He is able to make all conveniences become something difficult, also something difficult becomes easy. There is nothing difficult for Him, because He is omnipotent over everything. Therefore when faced with difficulties and various trials of life we must not despair. There is still God that we can ask for and ask for His help. Then we are commanded to pray when experiencing difficulties,
Allaahumma Laa Sahla Illaa Maa Ja'altahu Sahlaa Wa Anta Taj’alul Hazna Idza Syi'ta Sahlaa
"O God, there is no ease except what you make easy. And if you will, you will make trouble easy. "
Does this Prayer originate from the Hadith?
Syaikh Muhammad bin Shalih rahimahullaah in one of his fatwa stated, "This prayer, I do not know its origin (source) from Assunnah, but it was widely spoken by people." His statement was similar to that also found in Cassette "Nuur 'ala al-Darb" cassette no . 344 minutes to 22. But it is true that the above prayer comes from the inheritance of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam.
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik radhiyallahu 'anhu, the Messenger of Allaah' alaihi wasallam said,
"O God, there is no ease except what you make easy. And if you will, you will make trouble easy. "(Narrated by Ibn Hibban in his Sahih no. 2427, Ibn Sunni in Amal al-Yaum wa al-Lailah No. 351, Abu Nu'aim in Akhbar Ashfahan: 2/305 , Imam Al-Ashbahani in al-Targhib: 1/131. Syaikh Al-Albani reclaimed him in the Shahihah Lineage 6/902, no. 2886 and said, "Isnad is valid according to Muslim conditions.")
This prayer was also mentioned by Author Hisnul Muslim, DR. Sa'id bin Ali bin Wahf al-Qahthani, on page 90 with the title, "Prayers for those who get trouble." He mentions that Syaikh al-Arnauth defeated him in Takhrij al-Adzkar lil Nawawi, p. 106.
The meaning of prayer
The meaning of the above prayer, that God does not make everything easy for humans. There is no ease for them, except what God makes easy. And indeed convenience is what God makes easy. Conversely, difficulties and difficulties if God wants can be easy and light. As easy and light things can be difficult and difficult, if God wants them to. Because all things are in the hands of Allah, Almighty.
Then the content of this prayer, someone pleads with Allah to facilitate all his difficult affairs and praise Allah 'Almighty Allah that all matters are in His hands, if He wills, difficulties can be easy.
As is already understood, Allah 'Almighty Almighty has done everything. And He is able to make convenience a difficult thing, also something difficult becomes easy. There is nothing difficult for Him, because He is omnipotent over all things.
Then the content of this prayer:Someone begs Allah to facilitate all his difficult affairs and praise Allah 'Almighty Allah that all matters are in His hands, if He wills, difficulties can be easy.
Beside Praying, What Can Be Done?
Allah Ta'ala said,
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ
"O ye who believe, ask for help (to Allah) patiently and (doing) prayer." (QS. Al-Baqarah: 153)
Allah Ta'ala explained that the best way to ask Allah for help in dealing with various calamities (including difficulties in life) is to be patient and pray.
And in a hadith mentioned that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam when faced with a problem then he immediately prayed. (Narrated by Abu Dawud and Ahmad from Hudzaifah ibn Yemen)
Whereas there are two kinds of patience in this verse, namely patience in order to leave various illicit things and sins; and be patient in carrying out obedience and worship. And be patient the second form is more reward, and that is the patient who is closer to getting things easier.
Abdurrahman bin Zaid bin Aslam said, "Patience has two forms: be patient for God by carrying out what he loves even though it is heavy for the soul and body. And be patient for God from all that He hates even though the desire for lust is against him. Who is the condition like this then he belongs to the group of people who are patient who will survive, God willing. "

Some Other Prayers for Getting Ease:
Prayer when overtaken by calamity and distress:
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ
"O Everlasting Life, Who continually takes care (His creatures), only with Your mercy, I ask for help."
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَرَبَهُ أَمْرٌ قَالَ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ
From Anas bin Malik said, "Is the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, when faced with a problem, he prayed," O The Everlasting Living, Who continually takes care of (His creatures), only by Your mercy, I ask for help. "(Narrated by al-Tirmidzi no. 3524. Assassinated by Al-Albani in Shahihah Lineage, no. 3182)
The prayer of Jonah while in the belly of a fish:
أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
"That there is no God (who has the right to be worshiped) besides You. Glory to You, I am truly among the wrongdoers. "(QS. Al-Anbiya’: 87)
From Sa'ad bin Abi Waqqash radhiyallahu 'anhu said, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wasallam said, "The prayer of Prophet Yunus when he was in the belly of a fish: That there is no God (who has the right to be worshiped) besides You. Blessed be you, truly I am among those who do wrong. Indeed, no Muslim who prays to his Rabb with that prayer under any circumstances unless Allah will grant it to him. "(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi no. 3505 and disavowed Al-Albani in the Shahihah Lineage no. 1644)
And in the history of al-Hakim, Rasululah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said, "Will I tell you something if you are overwritten by a problem or test in the affairs of this world, then pray with it." That is the prayer of Dzun Nun or Prophet Yunus above.
Prayers when leaving home:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
"In the name of Allah, I put my trust in Allah, there is no power and strength except with Him."
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said, "If someone comes out of his house then reads,
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
"In the name of Allah, I put my trust in Allah, there is no power and strength except with Him." He said, It was said at that time, "You have been instructed, fulfilled, and guarded. So Syetan walked away from him so the other shetan said to him, "Kaifa laka birajulin? (What can you do with someone) who has been instructed, is sufficient, and has been guarded? "(Narrated by Abu Dawud no. 4431, al-Tirmidhi no. 3348, Ibn Hibban no. 823, and Ibn Sunni in 'Amal al-yaum wa al-Lailah, no. 177. Validation by Syaikh Al-Albani in Shahih al-Tirmidhi no. 3426, Al-Misykah no. 2443, also in Al-Kalim al-Thayyib) and there are still several other prayers.

It is better for a Muslim to familiarize himself with the prayer taught by the sunnah in the face of difficulties. Because the person who taught it, namely the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, is the man who knows best with the right and most useful prayer.
